Troso Woven Rope & Furniture


Consistent with its name, the appearance of Troso weaving industry started in the village name Troso. The village is located about 15 km southeast of the city Jepara. Many of the developing worker` make Troso become central of this industry fabric.
Although market conditions are always uncertainly, the type of cloth  rope woven from Troso always reach the hearts of domestic and foreign countries. In 2002, for example, when the bomb exploded in Bali so weaken the joint marketing of all products on sale in Bali, Troso woven rope able to survive because the Dewata Island  is not the only one location of the market. As a interested product ,Troso woven rope also are marketed in other cities such as Jakarta, Solo, Jogjakarta, and Pekalongan.
The success of the existence maintain Troso woven rope because the ability of the local market tastes always growing. Dynamicization this community can be seen from maintain various motives  cloth heritage past remain, including a motif characteristic nuances ethnic, traditional, classic, and unique.
 Troso Woven Industry hire by approximately 1816 employees. They work in 191 business units spread in the village. With volume production of more than 3,108,780 meters per year, the embedded value of investment is more than Rp. 1 billion with the production of almost Rp. 54.5 billion.

Since  RA Kartini brings Jepara furniture out of the country, carved furniture industry continues to growing. Peak occurred in 1998, Indonesia at the time has monetary crisis but Jepara furniture industry even get rapid progress. At this time more than 78 countries around the world become a destination carved furniture exports from Jepara. While the number of exporters that are involved in this business activity is to reach 325 people. Carved furniture industry is not only become a central economic community, but also has been able to provide a significant income for the country.
Currently carved furniture sector is able to absorb at least 50,063 workers, spread across 3,597 business units located in all corners of Jepara. Business unit that consists of PMDN and PMA was established with a value of almost Rp.152 billion investment with a production value Rp. 750 billion.
