Jepara In Brief




Jepara district administratively divided into 14 districts and 194 villages within the area of 100,413,189 ha or 1004.13 square kilometers. In The south boundary with   Demak districts and the eastern boundary with the  Pati and Kudus District. Therefore, the  east part of district  Jepara is a slope west of Muria mountain. From this area the small and big river flows which estuary in the Java Sea. 



Because of this geographical location of Jepara in 2003 population of 1,030,799 people have a coastline along the 72 km that extends from Demak district in the south district boundary to the north side of starch. This is not including in the coastal region of Karimunjawa island.
While for the type of climate, Jepara entry in the climate medium type, with the rainy and drought season. Meanwhile, the average temperature  arround 25,72 degrees celcius and humidity average 5.87 percen.
For the type of land, consisting of brown andasol, Latosol brown, red Latosol, alufial gray and brown alufial. Terluas soil type is the type of latosaol that is approximately 64 percen of the whole wide land.
This condition is affecting the dynamics of life and governance of social-economic and socio-cultural community, because the long historical Jepara.



Although the geographical location of Jepara is unprofitable, because the transportation routes are located in regional and national, Jepara could capable growing with other regions. Even for a particular sector, Jepara  able to leave other areas such as tourism, agriculture and small industries.
In fact, because the potential for extremes industry , Jepara is feasible as a small industrial city. Not only because the number of business units and labor be merged in this sector, but this sector has grown  and grow to a central community and economy of the regional economy.
